Gods People Win - Rev. 10 & 11

Gods People Win - Rev. 10 & 11

Without any attempt to identify all the people in Rev. 11, you can still understand the universal message underlying this chapter. God KNOWS those who are HIS. He makes them alive from their spiritual death (CP Col. 2:9-13). He adopts them as His children. He marks them as His. God’s people face persecution by the ‘world’. In such persecution, it often appears that the world wins, but that is a temporary delusion! Even if they die, they WIN. In the END, God and His people always win! As will be stated later: “They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful” (Revelation 17:14). No matter how you identify ‘the beast’ (vs.7), he loses!

Jesus reigns as king of kings and Lord of lords. He has all authority over heaven and earth. He has a name above all names. He is above all principalities and rulers.

No matter how bleak and terrible things seem here, in Heaven God is worshiped and praised! We join in such praise while here, and then we join the throng of heaven in worshipping our God.

OR, we are of the world, have cast our lot with the wrong side, will die anyway, and will be separated from God for eternity. No wonder we are admonished: “Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10). Yes, it may be difficult NOW, but won’t it be wonderful there?! Which side are you on?
