The Lion of the Tribe Of Judah – Rev. 5

The Lion of the Tribe Of Judah – Rev. 5

What is going to happen to us? How is this going to unfold? Who will win in this conflict between the world leaders and the church?

All of the answers to these questions were written in the sealed scroll, but no one was worthy to open it. Well, ONE was worthy - Jesus, the Lamb of God who is now seated on the right hand of the Father and has all authority in heaven and earth!

The emperors of Rome began elevating themselves to the position of ‘gods’ and demanding that all the people acknowledge them as Lord. If one would confess that Caesar is Lord he would be allowed to live. If one refused, as the Christians did, they would die.

There are ‘lords many’ and ‘gods many’ but unto us, there is ONE God the Father and ONE Lord, Jesus.

Read carefully the description of Jesus in this chapter. Memorize it. This is who Jesus IS. Yes, he died as a sacrificial lamb but He was raised in glory, honor, and power. The whole of heaven gathers before Him and worships Him.

As we struggle against the things of this world we need to always have this vision of Jesus in heaven. When we forget we can become enamored with the people and rulers of THIS world. It is the LORD that we worship. It is the LORD that is our ruler. We are in a war for our allegiance.

Jesus has conquered (vs. 5). Though the battle increases, the END never changes. "They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”" (Rev.17:14). If we are faithful unto Him, we will reign WITH HIM. If we deny Him, we lose everything! Be thou faithful unto death (2:10).  We need to be faithful even if it brings about our death.
