They Took Offense At Him - Mark 6
They Took Offense At Him - Mark 6
As was said by the man caught in the very act of sin: “Who are you going to believe, Me? Or your lying eyes?” Yes, sometimes in the face of undeniable testimony people refuse to accept and believe it.
The people of Nazareth recognized and acknowledged that “such miracles as these performed by His hands” (vs. 2). YET, “they took offense at Him”.
These gospel books were written to give us evidence (through testimony of those who saw Him) that Jesus IS the Son of God. As John concluded: “ 30 Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name. (John 20:30-31)
YET, upon reading and studying such testimony, people still take offence at Him and refuse to believe. Who are YOU going to believe? The testimony of those who saw and heard Him or your lying eyes? Don’t let the unbelief of others cause you to deny the testimony you have read with your own eyes.
